An international forum on the topic of “Large Family and Future of Humanity” will be held in Russian capital, Moscow, on Sept. 10-12. This 3-day event will host speakers from around the world who will address today’s challenges to the family. Also, will be an opportunity to be a part of the renaissance of family and traditional values in Russia.
The Forum will be organized by St. Andrew the First-Called Foundation within the framework of the “Sanctity of Motherhood” All-Russian Program and St. Basil the Great Charitable Foundation, in cooperation with leading international and Russian Pro-Family organizations.
Family as a social institution and spiritual entity is a fundamental base of individual and social life. Primary and most urgent task for modern civilization is to defend large families and protect them from contemporary challenges threatening their well-being.
The Forum will deal with the discussion of family-oriented initiatives in different sectors of society as well as with analysis of social, economic, cultural, spiritual and moral conditions of the family existence in the modern world.
On September 10, the first day of the Forum, the State Kremlin Palace will host a festival, where large families from different Russian regions will take part.
On the same day plenary session “Large Family and Future of Humanity” will be conducted in the State Kremlin Palace. Award ceremony of winners of the “Family and the Future of Russia” Nationwide Contest for Journalists will be a part of the plenary session.
In the evening of September 10 at the Cathedral Square of the Moscow Kremlin a gala concert will take place to mark the opening of the Forum.
On September 11 the Forum will continue its work in the Hall of Church Councils of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The Forum proceedings will include the scientific conference “Modern Family and Marriage Transformations: Scientific Approach” as well as round tables with following topics: “Pro-Family Legislation and Family Policy”, “New Life – Joy of Parents, Gift of God”, “Activities of Centers for Family and Maternity Protection in Russia and Abroad”, “Pro-Family Economy, Business and Family-Friendly Employment Practices”, “Youth Initiative in Support of Natural Family”, “Family in the World of Information”, „Social Initiatives in Family Support and Prevention of Orphanage„, „Education and Upbringing: from Prepared Adolescence to Family Youth„.
Special attention will be paid to the discussion of the world religions’ representatives on family values.
The International Forum “Large Family and Future of Humanity” will be concluded on September 11 by closing plenary session with the adoption of a Resolution.
